Project Description
‘David Badillo’s Story’ is an intimate portrayal of the life of one of the first firefighters to arrive at the scene on the tragic night of the Grenfell Tower fire in London. Along with his crewmates, David risked his safety to rescue as many people as he could from the deadliest domestic fire in the UK since World War II.
This poignant portrait highlights David’s bravery and heroic dedication during one of the most devastating events in recent history, but it also illustrates the lasting emotional and psychological impact of the incident on him. This film was commissioned by the Fire Brigades Union, and here, David shares how the Union can provide mental health support for its members.
